Welcome to the "Bratcher's Thoughts" blog!
I believe that starting, running and controlling your own business is a great experience. From my perspective, it has been very rewarding and worthwhile. And that has kept my entrepreneurial blood running, fomenting my interest for new ventures and therefore my decision to start Bratcher.
Despite my enthusiasm for Entrepreneurship, the blog is not comprehensive about any subject. My posts reflect my current understanding, thoughts and opinions on several subjects, based mostly on my personal experience, from the start-up stages of the companies we founded, then running the company, relating to partners, stepping out of the day to day management, to act as board member and investor. They are not based on any specific research or theory on any specific field of study.
Please, also notice that the posts are never finished. Rather, they are a constant work-in-process. New experiences, new reflections and, hopefully, feedback may enhance, update or modify previous posts and thoughts.
I apologize for all the grammar and typing mistakes, inadequate formats, my limited vocabulary, etc. English is not my native language and this is a first blog experience.

THE BRATCHER PROJECT

Bratcher is an environment and an organization for my professional projects and investments, within a model and criteria that merge personal interests, work, research and leisure in the daily activities.
We invest in start-up companies, advise and support such companies, prioritizing projects that are attractive and create opportunities for the newer generations of entrepreneurs, with special attention to relatives and friends. We aim at contributing, disseminating Values and renewing ourselves by this interaction with younger people.
Both on projects implemented individually or in partnership with other parties, we want to work with people that we trust and have empathy, in activities that are motivating, meaningful, rewarding and that contribute to society. We are initially concentrating our operations in FL, SP and Rio.
Bratcher also pursues close ties with some universities and supports efforts to develop Entrepreneurship and start-ups, helping relevant social projects in which we can make a difference.
Through Bratcher and our blogs, we communicate our thoughts, issue our opinions and share experience - as entrepreneur, CEO, board member, partner and/or investor in several companies - on the fields of entrepreneurship, management, business, economy and markets.
"Time is a precious asset, that depreciates very fast" (unknown author). Bratcher is a Life Entrepreneurship (Gergen/Vanourek) project, in which the process itself should be gratifying. Thus, it can take time to mature, evolve. We aim at - beyond ROI (return on investment) - ROL (return on life).
